Un estudio muestra que los países del mundo no logran cumplir las promesas de igualdad de género – Japan Times

VANCOUVER, COLUMBIA BRITÁNICA — Los países del mundo están incumpliendo la promesa de un futuro más justo para 1400 millones de niñas y mujeres, según un índice global lanzado en la mayor conferencia de igualdad de género del globo.

Esta investigación muestra que el mundo está muy fuera de curso para lograr la igualdad de género para 2030: ningún país ha llegado a la “recta final”.

Japón quedó en el puesto 21 en el índice con un puntaje de 80,6, detrás de países como Australia (85,2) e Italia (81,8), pero por encima de Estados Unidos, que quedó en el puesto 28 con un puntaje de 77,6, y Corea del Sur, en el puesto 41 con un puntaje de 72,6.
